Science as Leisure

In the past, science was considered leisure because there was really nothing else to do. The technology was not as advanced as it is now, so they spent most of their time trying to furhter advance their scientific knowledge. Nowadays, there's sports, music, movies and many other forms of entertainment that overshadows science as leisure.
