Presentation Propsal

My presentation proposal for the Asian project is the study of Shoalin Order. The Shaolin Order is the study of martial arts, breathing techniques, meditation, and central energy control. The monks of this order are The Shoalin totally different than the monks here at St. Benedict's. One of the most important lessons of a Shoalin monk is discipline. Discipline is a hard lesson to learn for young monks at the temple. Young monks take on challenges for battles such as one-on-two; one-on-three hand to hand combat training. The meditation and breathing techniques are used for combat skills as well. The most used form of breathing 'steel jacket', the hardening of the torso to endure serious pain. I will post website references as I complete further research.
