Textbooks and teachers have knowledge and data that they show or tell us about. All their data came from someone or something and it was passed down from other people or books. All the data they learned came from a source that started years ago, it started from all our past scientists. Scientists from the past have started and given us all the data we know. Every data we know can be proved through past researches.
Scientists' need to convince others of the meaning of observations does show or tell scientists what to think but it teaches them what to know. The reason is because back then, every scientist's research had no past. Every research they had were the start. Meaning every data on e scientist had must have been correct.
