Social and Solitary Question:

The story of how scientists Understand Earth's Age explains a lot of how science is not a solitary job but a social job. James Hutton's story can give an example of science being a social job because he had co-workers like Joseph Black, who he shared research of chemistry with, James Watt, who invented the steam engine, and many more scientists. Jean-André De Luc too has worked with other naturalists to understand evidence that Earth existed before humans, meaning the age of humans is very recent. De Luc and James Hutton had worked together to use the evidence of the natural world to support their ideas even though they are only two out of many.

The kind of job I consider would be being a police officer. It is clearly a social endeavor because every police officer would always need a back-up when strolling around the city. It can be a very dangerous job if you work in a solitary way. Police work is very easy if you have other people to work with. A police officer must have one person he can safely turn his back on.
